Course Reflective Narrative
WLC 400: WLC Major Capstone is the last core requirement for the Spanish major and a fulfillment for MLO 1: Language Proficiency. This course, which I enrolled during my last semester (spring 2014), is more than all a final assessment of the language. The outcome is to focus on testing and developing the abilities of the student in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in the target language. It is through this course that I developed the research topic for my Capstone. Through my Capstone, I gather all the skills that I have develop in my Upper Division Courses and bring them together in order to support my growth and development of the Spanish language on my pathway to achieving my Bachelor of Arts in this discipline. The course challenged to use the best of my Spanish knowledge in order to demonstrate my proficiency. In specific, my reading and writing proficiency are demonstrated through my research project, while my speaking proficiency is assessed through an oral presentation for the World Languages and Cultural Department. This particular wraps my academic path together. What I have decided to amplify on research for my Capstone project, it essentially defines my main interests. My future work will essentially be very much influenced by the cultural and literature aspects of the culture language. Nonetheless, I value and take in mind every aspect that I have learn of the language and I definitely which to continue growing on it.
